OpenAI Codex for business teams: what it can do beyond code
Codex is OpenAI's agent for building, included in ChatGPT plans. It is aimed at engineering work, but non-technical teams use it to build the small tools they need: a quote calculator, a report generator, a data clean-up script or a dashboard from a spreadsheet.
Iain Davidson, a hotel safety auditor, built his own audit app with Codex through coaching and used it to produce a 70-page client report. That is the pattern: a domain expert describes the job and Codex builds the tool.
